Bought this phone for my grandfather who's hard of hearing and wanted something that lights up whenever the phone rang. Phone works, but the flasher isn't bright enough and not loud enough, hence the 4 stars.

I haven't had the chance to take it to her yet, but I tested it, and it works. She'll defintely appreciate the big, clearly-marked redial button, and the base-mounted buttons will keep her from accidentally squeezing them and breaking the connection. It got it for my mother who's in a nursing home. Contrary to the appearance, it's not a speakerphone, but my mother wouldn't benefit from such a feature because of her poor hearing.

This phone was listed as having "music on hold", a feature I had to have; I had looked at close-up image to check it before ordering, but when it arrived, the button that had been shown as "hold" was changed to "redial".

That was why I bought this phone.Lorraine The manual says, "When in an office equipped with PABX, your unit makes it easy to transfer calls." But there is no hold button. I was disappointed that this phone didn't have a hold button that offered a melody.
